About Us
Assisi Kindergarten – Strathfieldsaye was built in 2017 by St Therese's Parish with a state Government grant as part of the Children’s Facilities Capital Program. Sandhurst Catholic Early Childhood Education and Care Limited became the Approved Priovider of Assisi Kindergarten in 2021.
All children are welcome to attend Assisi Kindergarten. We are a community pre-school that will support the learning of all students regardless of race, religion, gender, creed, disability, and socio economic status.
We currently offer fifteen hours of three and four funded old kindergarten across five groups. We understand that placing your child in kindergarten and is an important decision, and as such we feel privileged to play an integral role in your child’s learning and development.
Our aim is to provide your child with the security, warmth and joy essential to their development and growth, and to optimise their learning in these vital years.
Our Educators provide programs that enable children to learn through exploration and stimulating experiences in a natural play based learning environment. We aspire to create an environment that provides enjoyable and creative learning. This is achieved through experiences designed to support your child in all areas of growth.
Contact us for any information or a tour of the preschool to meet some of the Educators.
PARENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Assisi Kindergarten - Strathfieldsaye is supported by a committee of volunteer parents of currently enrolled children from both the 3 and 4 year old kindergarten groups, together with the Director of the Kindergarten, St. Francis of the Fields Primary School Principal, a community member and St. Therese’s Parish Priest.
The Kindergarten Advisory Committee is the leading consultative and advisory group for the Director, as an active forum for parent and community participation, providing support and advice principally in strategic planning and Kindergarten improvement. Advisory Committee members do not have executive decision-making powers but can make recommendations.
Parents of enrolled children are encouraged to become involved with the preschool on the Advisory Committee or another position to help make our preschool thrive.
